Texas Holdem is usually played with nine or ten players at a full table with a rotating blind system. First, the players will place out blinds and antes so that there is an initial amount that will get things started. Poker blinds are the initial bets that are placed in the game, before any cards are drawn. The amount of bet depends on the limit and betting structure that is applied. Then, each player is dealt two cards face down (hole cards) and then five cards face up (community cards) at the center of the table.  Players can use any combination of their hole cards and the community cards to form the best five-card hand possible.

In any basic poker game, players strategically wager using five actions that are available to them – check, bet, fold, call, and raise. To check is to pass. Checking is possible only if no one has bet before you. If, however, someone has bet out, you must call, raise, or fold. To bet is to wager money in during the play of a hand. Betting is putting money in the pot and increasing your opponents’ price for staying in a hand. To fold is to give up a hand rather than to put money in the pot. To call is to match the current bet. To raise or to bet for value is to build the pot by placing bets that are higher than previous ones.

The ranks of hands in poker are as follows: the royal flush, the straight flush, the four of a kind, the full house, the flush, the straight, the three of a kind, the two pair, the pair, and the single high card.

In a game of poker, the player with the highest ranking hands at the end of the rounds wins. Therefore, the goal of any poker player is having the best five-card hand at the end of the game.

Hand And Wrist Pain Learning To Play Guitar

Hand and wrist pain learning to play guitar is a normal condition but as it is only a short lived phase should not be allowed to put you off all together. Look at it from the point of view that whilst for you as a whole person learning to play guitar is a relaxation, for your fingers, hands, arms and shoulders it is much like taking up a new and vigorous sport!

It is a bit of a cliché to say that you shouldn’t try to run before you can walk. So if you are going to reduce the symptoms of and any damage caused by the hand and wrist pain learning to play guitar a little forethought and preparation is advisable.

Attention to your physical wellbeing and having the right mindset is a prerequisite of any sporting activity.

Going on from that then and applying it to your guitar lessons and practice it would make sense to adopt a routine that will optimise the  value of the session and reduce the incidence of hand and wrist pain learning to play guitar.

To get the very best out of a lesson in learning to play guitar take a short walk before you begin if you can. You will be amazed how much more benefit you will get out of the session with a clear mind and your circulation refreshed. It doesn’t have to be vigorous, it doesn’t have to be long. Taking exercise and breathing fresh air gives a wonderful tonic to the circulation, so neccasary if you are going to spend time  practicing your guitar.

It is quite important for the best results to have a clear and tidy place in which to play your guitar. A suitable chair or stool is so important too. You need to be comfortable and at ease to play guitar properly. Your head should be clear. You should feel stress free and relaxed if you are not you will not enjoy playing.

Be sure to wear comfortable clothing that allows plenty of freedom of movement. Shoulders, arms and wrists need to be totally unrestricted. Remember that your watch might scratch or mark your guitar if you leave it on.

A good deal has been talked about stretching and warming up routines and I have covered some of these in another article, sore guitar fingers! A little time spent stretching the fingers apart and an equally short time squeezing a soft ball is enough. Quite the best way of warming up, much as you might jog a while before you start sprinting, is to just quietly and slowly strum a few chords or play some gentle guitar songs to loosen up.

As you begin to play the muscles and tendons in your hands along with muscles in the wrists, arms and shoulders are asked to move, stretch and support in positions that are quite new to them. Is it surprising then that at first they react by giving a degree of hand and wrist pain learning to play guitar?

Your fretting hand is held out away from you supporting and fretting the guitar neck which is a stress position, just try holding your arm  out horizontally without the guitar, you won’t do it for long! The blood flow to the hands is restricted because your hands are usually held down not up. Any restriction of blood flow will cause pins and needles and will result in aching in the arm and hand.

Importantly in reducing hand and wrist pain learning to play guitar, do keep practice sessions short. Take a break and take a walk to the coffee pot from time to time. Stretch your hands rotate your arms and wrists and grab a drink. This is a learning curve for you, for your arms, your wrists, your hands and your fingers. Practice a little but practice often. Three twenty minute sessions will deliver a greater value than one continuous hour. That is definitely so in the beginning of your guitar playing career.

Don’t let yourself be beaten by this short lived  problem of hand and wrist pain learning to play guitar. It will pass with practice and muscle familiarity as you play more and more.

Learn to Play Texas Hold’em Online in 60 Seconds

I chose to describe the poker room you can find on Popyeah.com, and try to teach you some quick rules that you can apply to become Texas Hold’Em God! Popyeah.com is a very popular multiplayer online game site and it is really well done. You can find there a wide online gaming community and many many opponents to play with in one of the 100 (and more) games with high quality graphics and sound.

You can save your game scores and climb up rankings and charts; you can join tournaments playing against the other players and you can become a part of a great community. What I want to underline is that Popyeah.com is NOT and online casino and you can’t win real money. There you can play the real SPORTING POKER for fun and for tasting the challenge. Besides, and I can say this is really a good thing, on Popyeah you can play for free, and you can also insert your personal profile, upload your photos, manage your personal blog, create your friends list and communicate with many other people. All of our games have a built-in chat sub-system that enables real-time communication between players while they play. Players can also talk each other with Skype during gameplay.

And now let’s go to the rules…

Texas Hold’Em Poker is a variation of poker in which each player receives two cards and then uses a combination of those two cards and the five community cards to form a hand. The player with the best hand wins.

Below is a ranking from worst to best of the types of poker hands.
ONE PAIR – happens when a player has two figures of the same value in his hand, for example two kings, two tens, two aces etc.
TWO PAIRS – happens when a player has a pair of the same figures twice, for example two kings and two aces, two thirds and two tens etc.
THREE OF A KIND – as the name says, it happens when a player has three cards of the same value, for example three aces.
STRAIGHT – five cards (with different suits) which are grouped one after the other, for example 7,8,9,10,J.
FLUSH – five cards with the same suit, for example A,J,10,7,2.
FULL HOUSE – a set of PAIR and THREE OF A KIND, which means for example K,K,A,A,A.
FOUR OF A KIND – as the name says, it happens when a player has four cards of the same value, for example four kings or four aces and so on.
STRAIGHT FLUSH – the strongest set in game. It is five cards in the same suit which are grouped one after another, for example A,K,D,J,10 of spades.

At the start of the game, two cards are dealt to every player. This is followed by the first round of betting among the players. All bets go into a pot. Next, the dealer reveals three community cards. This is followed by a second round of betting. Then a fourth community card is revealed, followed by another round of betting. Finally, the fifth community card is revealed and there is one final round of betting. After the final round of betting, the player with the best five card set wins the pot.

During each of the four betting phases of the game, players can take a number of actions:
Bet: The first player to wager money and put that money into the pot has placed a bet. In Texas Hold’Em there is no limit on the amount of money players can bet. A bet is only called a bet when the player is the first player to bet. Otherwise, it is called a call or a raise.
Call: When a player is NOT the first player to bet, and he matches the bet of the previous players, his bet is called a call. If a player does not call, then he must either raise or fold.
Raise: When a player is NOT the first player to bet, and he increases the bet of the previous players, his bet is called a raise. When a player raises, he increases the amount of money at stake by increasing the bet. In Texas Hold’Em, there is no limit to how high a player can raise the bet.
Check: Check means to put no money in the pot. If the players before him have checked (put no more money into the pot), then the player can also check. But if the players before him have bet, called or raised, then the player cannot check. He must either call, raise, or fold.
Fold: The player gives up for this round of betting, forfeiting all money that he has put into the pot this round.

The basic rule is that all players must have the same amount of money in the pot. If a player doesn’t want to put at least the same amount of money into the pot, that player must fold.

That’s it! You’re ready to start playing Texas Hold’Em Poker and enjoy yourself!

Learn to Play Baccarat Like James Bond

Well I guess the title is a bit misleading, baccarat is a game of chance and you can’t really imitate any style but it is the game of choice for 007 so you can feel pretty sophisticated if you know how to play it.

If at any point you would like to practice what you have learnt then try this link Baccarat system

Baccarat is a total game of chance and the point is to obtain two or three cards that add up to eight or nine (nine being the better). The best hand you can achieve is two cards that combine to exactly nine (10s jacks, queens and kings are all worth 0, Aces are worth 1, the rest of the cards retain their face value). If you have two cards that add up to nine or eight then this is known as a ‘natural’. If any players, including the dealer, hold a ‘natural’ hand then they have won and no more cards will be dealt. If two players have naturals then the game is a tie. And finally if no one has a natural another card is dealt.

There are special rules for the drawing of a third card that relate to the player or the dealer.

If the players hand is less than or equal to five then they are dealt another card. If the player does not receive a third card then the dealer will stand on six or higher and be dealt a third card if his hand is five or lower. If the player DOES take a third card the following rules apply: If the dealer’s total is 2 or less then the dealer takes another card, it doesn’t matter what the player’s third card is. If the dealer’s total is 3 then the dealer takes another card unless the player’s third card was an 8. If the dealer’s total is 4 then the dealer takes another card unless the player’s third card was a 0, 1, 8, or 9. If the dealer’s total is 5 then the dealer takes another card if the player’s third card was 4, 5, 6, or 7. If the dealer’s total is 6 then the dealer takes another card if the players third card was a 6 or 7. If the dealer’s total is 7 then the dealer stands.

The player with the closest score to nine wins, or again, it can be a tie.

If the total of your hand is more than ten then the first digit is removed – for example if you have a 9 and a 4 then your total is not 13, it’s 3.

f you have a king, a 6 and an 8 then your score is   –   0+6+8=14 , you then remove the first digit of 1, so your score is 4.

There are a few different versions of Baccarat, commonly in British casinos the betting usually works in this way – Before a hand is dealt you bet on the outcome, either the player  will win (pays 2-1), the dealer will win (pays 2-1, this is less a 5% house fee) or the game will be tied (pays 8-1).

Although the basics will be the same be aware that there are variations of this game and how money is won and lost. Make sure you check the house rules before you start!

And that’s it.

If you would like to practice what you have learnt then feel free to try this link Baccarat system

As I said before it’s a complete game of luck but there are one or two things you can do to help yourself:

Casinos will use either 6 or 8 decks of cards – try to use ones that only use 6 decks.

Casinos will always charge commission on a dealer win. This is usually 5% but if you can find a casino that takes less then play there.

The dealer will always have the house edge and is there for more likely to win.

Remember gambling is, by its very nature, risky. Never gamble with money you can’t afford to lose.

Learning to play Blackjack

Blackjack is also known as ‘21′, and the game can be traced back to the 16th century Spanish game ‘veintiuna’. Blackjack was introduced to America and wasn’t very popular until the casinos added a bonus payment to hands containing an Ace and any black Jacks – hence the name Blackjack. These bonus payments eventually faded out of use but the name stuck.

Blackjack is a game where you play against the dealer independently of other players and the aim of the game (and why it is sometimes known as ‘21′) is to defeat the dealer by drawing cards whose sum are more than the dealers sum or add up to 21 when the dealers sum of cards is greater than the players sum. If your first two cards total 21 you will have achieved a natural Blackjack, with Blackjack being the highest hand.

Once you have placed your bet, you and the dealer will be dealt two cards each, and your cards are dealt face up, the dealers first card face down. The cards have different values: picture cards have a value of 10 points, and the Ace can be used as 1 or 11 points while all other cards have the same value as is printed on them. Suits have no relevance in Blackjack, and any card combined with an Ace (with a value of 11), other than picture cards with their value of 10, is considered a ’soft hand’. ‘Hard hands’ are those where there is no Ace or the Ace has a value of 1.

If you are dealt your first two cards and they do not give you a Blackjack then you may refuse any more cards, which is known as a ’stand’ or you can accept another card, known as a ‘hit’. If you hit, you can keep getting cards dealt until you either stand or ‘bust’, which is where you exceed 21. If you bust, you are out and lose your bet, no matter what the dealers hand is like. However, if the dealer busts by exceeding 21 and you have managed to stand without going bust, then you win. If you finish with the same totals, then you will have a ‘push’ which is a tie.

If you are dealt two cards with the same value you can split them into two separate hands, and make another bet equal to the first, but remember that a hand can only be split once in a game.

Another thing to remember is that blackjack is not a mere game of luck ? it is a game of strategy. With blackjack, casinos have a low advantage in comparison to their other games, but despite this blackjack generates a lot of revenue for casinos, which is simply due to the mistakes that players make. These mistakes can be avoided by using the tips on offer at www.blackjack-tip.co.uk, where you can find beginners and advanced tips as well as information on where to find free blackjack cash and reputable sites for playing blackjack.

Parent’s Survival Guide for Learning to Play Bakugan

Confused about Bakugan? Don’t know what they are or what the craze is all about? Don’t feel bad, up until 6 months ago I didn’t know what they were either. All of a sudden though, Bakugan was everywhere in my house. Bakugan Brawlers, cards, launchers and it was on TV and the topic of conversation.

Here is a guide written just for you, now you will know how to play the game and you won’t be just another clueless parent who is out of touch! Don’t worry it’s easy and before you know it, you’ll be battling right along with your kids.

Two to four players can play Bakugan at one time. Before you start, each player must pick a minimum deck of three Bakugan Brawlers. Also needed are three cards to be used during the game. You can have more brawlers and cards but each play must have the same amount.

Get Ready to Battle with Bakugan Battle Brawlers:

At the start of play, each player will have their brawlers in what is called the “Sphere Mode” meaning it is all closed up.   When the brawler is rolled onto the metal card correctly, it will pop open into Battle Mode. When the brawler is in Battle Mode you will be able to see it’s G-power rating. When another player rolls onto the same card you are on, the battle is on. On the card the G-power boost will determine if your Battle Brawler’s G-power decreases or increases. The player with the highest G-power rating wins.

Bakugan Cards

Command cards: This card has instructions on the bottom which indicate something you have to do, these commands vary.

Normal cards: This card has the sector bubbles on the side which indicates how many g-points you gain or lose depending on the Bakugan’s attribute.

Character Cards: These cards have the name of a Bakugan on them. If a Bakugan lands on a matching character card their g-points are doubled.

On each of the metal cards there is a G-power boost rating. The boost rating is on the left hand side of the card and will determine the boost based on the color of your brawler that lands on the card. On the cards there is a Holo Sector Point or HSO and it represents the number of points you win if you capture this card.

The Battle Area

You start the game by placing a card face down on the side closest to your opponent forming a rectangle on the battle field. If there are only two players, then they each place another card down to form the battle field.

Shot Spot

The shot spot is determined by each player taking their remaining cards and measure the distance from their opponents card which was placed closest to you. This is your shot spot for the whole game.

It’s Time To Battle!

Choose who will go first. Players take their turns from their shooting spot. As long as a player has a bakugan in their hand they cannot skip their turn.

How To Win

When there aren’t any more Bakugan left to play or all the cards are gone, the game is over. Add up the Holo Sector Points (HSP) for each card that was won during the game. If a player won a bakugan from their opponent they get an extra 100 HSP. If they have any remaining Bakugan they get an additional 100 HSP as well.

Get your Bakugan at Battle Brawlers. Videos on how to play also available.

Everything else is all the same. Often do people turn to their NJ Pick 3 lotteries to earn some extra cash. As for others who’s luck has consistently been on the roll, left their jobs and enjoyed their chances of play and win. According to winners of NJ Pick 3 lotteries, their lives were completely turned upside down in a good way. These testimonials have actually made the whole Pick 3 lottery craze grow in demand.

Perhaps one of the worse things to happen is not to play the Pick 3 lottery itself. Learning different strategies on how to bag some good pay out can be really easy to learn and entertaining too. If you want to win in the NJ Pick 3 lotteries, having a pen and paper can already lead you to one good strategy. The so called box betting is one strategy that works on all Pick 3 lotteries regardless of state. It is by using one three digit combination and rearranging them into different unique combinations without having any repetitions. Just imagine how may possible wins you can get if you have a list of three digit combinations, rearranging them uniquely.

Those desiring of a consistent NJ Pick 3 lottery win can go for another strategy which is the unmatched number strategy. This was derived upon observing ten winning draws. If in all ten winning draws the number combinations are far alike from each other then the chances of you winning depends on unique or unmatched number combinations.

Aside from these known strategies, there are also systems available online that offer some sure win on the Pick 3 lottery. But according to some feedbacks, there have been a number of people who are complaining about the reliability and function of these systems. Most of which, give out results that are quite far from the winning combinations. Worse thing about going for these systems is that the guarantee to have the subscriber’s money back for unsatisfying service is not offered.

It’s actually all a matter of patience, timing, and keen observation. You may want to add up resourcefulness too. In this sense, you can use the strategies handed out and combine them as you work your way in observing the frequent winning combinations. In risking money, you should at least be able to know when to bet big or small, when to stop or go for more. I’m sure no one would want to give everything they own for some blind chance. If you’re decided to make this as your own source of income, then take time to learn how it all works.

Chris Malcolm created a proven system to winning the NJ Pick 3. He has been successfully reviewing free lottery systems for over 10 years. Learn about his proven system at http://www.pick3winning.com

Homeschooling Wins Hands Down

I cannot entirely agree with the ideas I’ve read about recent in regard to ideas of play-and-learn teaching. In my own experience and seeing children in public, private, and home school settings, I have to say that homeschooling wins out hands down.

For traditional public schools, there is little to no individual attention from the educator. Children and their individual problems slip through the cracks at public schools. There isn’t enough time in the day for a teacher to sit down and really work with the students one-on-one and find out what the individual needs are. Further, we have hurt our own education system by devaluing our teachers. They should be evaluated annually and paid according to their actual worth and input towards their classroom. Tenure is a lackadaisical way of keeping a school staffed, and it invites complacency. If teachers were evaluated and their income and continued employment based on these evaluations, I believe it would give a whole new outlook to how hard they work towards meeting the individual needs of all of the students in their class.

As for private schools, while the class size is smaller, they too fall short when looking at the individual needs of each student in the class. One such example is a preschool teacher at a local Christian school. After eight years of faithful employment where she is required to send her children to the same school by which she is employed, she was told that she would be passed over for a promotion to a full time Kindergarten teaching position because the principal knew she had just had a new baby and was worried she’d miss too much work, or that she would find herself too busy at home to give proper attention to her job.

This is unfair labor practice to begin with, and it caused her to become so unhappy with the school and its administrators her attitude this year is “I’m going to work and doing only what I have to do and no more, and then I’m going home.” That is certainly NOT the kind of attitude we want for the teachers of our children.

None of this even takes into consideration the fact that this same teacher currently is teaching 3 year-olds , 4 year-olds, and young 5’s. She gets no specials (gym, music, art, etc) and no teacher’s aid. She also gets no planning time and she is still expected to prepare lesson plans for 3 separate class groups. A regular grade (teacher K – 12) gets specials, teaches only one age group and usually maxes out at 22 – 30 children. This teacher has 3 classes of 20+ students – that is triple the amount of children for whom she is responsible. And then the community wonders how kids can slip through the cracks.

Even our day care laws are more strict than what is happening in this situation. Day care laws in the state where this is happening require 1 adult provider for every 6 children and in a 6 child group, only 2 of the 6 are allowed to be under 3. with such strict laws on day care and such lax policies on teaching is it any wonder kids just don’t get the proper education even in private schools where parents pay a great percentage of their annual income to enroll their child(ren)?

At a local Montessori school where my child attended for 1/2 of the school year (2nd grade), she was sent out side to play in inclimate weather because the teachers just “wanted a break.” My daughter ended up with pneumonia and subsequently missed 2 weeks of school. Their laziness cost me the fees for multiple doctor appointments and medicines as well as stress and worry with a sick child. When I called the school to pick up daily work to keep her up to date, I was told that she wouldn’t miss and work, and not to worry about it. I was astounded. She was going to be out at least a week, per doctor’s orders, and she wouldn’t miss any work? What did they do all day? The second week she was out, I also called and was told the same thing. Two weeks of school missed and no work missed? Impossible! That right there finalized my decision to pull her at the end of the 2nd semester and start homeschooling.

Additionally, at this same Montessori school, there were no desks or chairs in the class room. When I questioned this, I was told that the children were to sit cross-legged on the floor and do their writing. I wondered how they could do handwriting properly then, so I asked. I was told that they were to stand up at the counter or lay on the floor. This was mind boggling, and also, not what I considered a good education. And here so many people just raved about how good a Montessori education was for children. Sorry, but I disagree with them also.

Finally, home school is best. It allows for sick days without absent from school. Children can still attend school at the dining room table or work at their given work space and not infect anyone in the public. It allows for doctor an dentist appointments and still gives the child one-on-one time with the educator because the educator is also the driver who takes them to and from these appointments.

The big argument with home school is that children who are home schooled do not get socialization skills. Have you seen the behavior of some of the children in school? Taking guns, knives, and drugs to school? I have never heard of a school shooting at a home school. Even the Amish community, as secluded as they are, had an incident in recent months and it was a complete stranger who just had one off day and wrecked the lives of others forever. None of this happens in home schools.

Also in home schools, there is no chance of a child slipping through the cracks . With daily one-on-one attention from the educator, all the child’s needs are being reviewed on nearly a daily basis.

Another big complaint towards homeschooling is that parents don’t have the time. If done properly, homeschooling takes 2-4 hours each day. It is a shame if parents cant spend 2-4 hours with their kids each day. Also keeping this in mind, if parents can’t spend 2-4 hours daily with their child(ren ) it is no wonder those kids grow up to be in gangs and participate in school shootings.

Finally, for those who say they don’t have the patience, if they have the patience to sit down and read a story to the kids, then they have the patience for home schooling.

The value of classical education is less, far less, in this writer’s opinion, than what children deserve.
